Dr. Nnamdi Madichie

Dr. Nnamdi Madichie is Director of the Centre for Research and Enterprise at the London School of Business and Management. He has previously held academic positions as Associate Professor of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the Canadian University Dubai as well as the University of Sharjah, both in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He has worked on industry projects with the London Development Agency and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He was a panelist on "Commonwealth Trade and Investments in the Post-Brexit World" at the recently concluded joint 44th AIB(UKI) and 6th Reading Conference 6-8 April 2017.

Dr. Madichie is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of England & Wales, as well as Editor-in-Chief of the African Journal of Business and Economic Research. His research interests encompass broad areas of marketing (film, music, higher education, sports and consumer behaviour) and entrepreneurship (gender, ethnic, transnational, diasporic, and social entrepreneurship). His publications include a book on Consumer Behaviour with (Tata McGraw-Hill, 2012), and numerous peer reviewed journal articles including "The business of saving lives in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA)-a social imperative? Insights from "The Global Soap Project" (published in 2016); Cultural determinants of entrepreneurial emergence in a typical sub-Sahara African context (published in 2008); The Nigerian movie industry "Nollywood"-a nearly perfect marketing case study (2010) and Marketing Senegal through hip-hop-a discourse analysis of Akon's music and lyrics (published in 2011).
